I'm Collaborating on a Summer Fitness and Nutrition Group!

Welcome to Grit Fit Summer 2019


Are you traveling this summer?  Erratic schedule?  Don’t have access to your usual workouts, or do you just want to get started on your fitness journey?  Join us this summer to learn how to maintain your nutrition and fitness success while on the go!


What is it?

  • We have designed this program for those that are looking to maintain or jumpstart their training over the busy summer months. 

  • New or advanced, you will get top tier guidance in your workout programming and movements from Noel Kosiek, certified fitness and triathlon coach.  These workouts are designed to challenge you in a short amount of time (20-30 minutes).  Workouts are HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), essentially big efforts for a short amount of time = results. We will be using our own body weight, so no equipment is needed, and they are designed to do anywhere you are traveling.

  • Sports Performance Nutritionist to Professional and Competitive athletes, Kyla Channell, will be your go-to for nutrition related questions and nutrition support to have a successful nutritious summer.

  • If you are you busy traveling this summer and don’t want to put your fitness and nutrition on hold, this is for you!


What is Included?

  • June 1st – August 15th you will receive weekly releases of three structured, high intensity workouts (no equipment needed).  To compliment these workouts, on the alternating days consider doing all the summer fun of hikes, swims, bike rides, runs, and other outdoor fun.  Your goal is always to hit a minimum of 10,000 steps a day.  

    • Video movement standards for guidance

  • Private Facebook group with accountability, a place to check-in, share your workouts, foods, ask questions as well as meet up with members to train!

  • Nutrition Support - To see and feel results, you cannot have a fitness program without a nutrition component.  Over the next few months, you will learn how to hydrate, fuel and recover like an athlete. 

    • Start up nutrition guide to supporting your weekly workouts

    • Bimonthly Live Nutrition Q&A on private Facebook group

    • Bimonthly nutrition habit/goal setting with forms to track progress

      • 6/14 Hydration + successful travel nutrition

      • 6/28 Veggie/fruit goal/day

      • 7/12 Stabilizing daily energy levels

      • 7/26 Pre-training nutrition

      • 8/9   Post raining nutrition & recovery

      • 8/15 Set up success for post summer

Yay! This is where we can all geek out and stay on top of up to date sports performance, mental performance, grit and of course nutrition books. These books are announced on the first of each month.

August 2019 - Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food By Catherine Shanahan, MD. This book dives into our history or foods we took in, what we’re missing today in our diet for optimal “Human Diet”.

July 2019 - Range - Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World by David Epstein. This book gets deep into generalizing in your training, in your career and more to become better, explaining that specializing in one specific area is not always best.

June 2019 - Endure - Mind, Body and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance by Alex Hutchinson. This book has a ton of great performance tips for endurance athletes and dives into the power of our mind and how it affects our performance. Love Love Love this book!

May 2019 - What Doesn’t Kill Us by Scott Carney - This book will cover the power of our mind along with proper breathing techniques to get there
